
Dr. Ezell is a board-certified Pain Medicine physician specializing in the treatment of spine, nerve, joint, and musculoskeletal pain conditions. He earned his undergraduate degree from Wabash College and his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his Anesthesiology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, followed by an awarded two-year Chronic Pain Medicine fellowship through the University of California San Diego and the VA San Diego Healthcare System, where he worked closely with veterans suffering from complex chronic pain conditions.
Dr. Ezell utilizes a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to pain management, offering both advanced interventional procedures and non-surgical treatment options. His areas of expertise include spinal cord stimulation, neuromodulation, minimally invasive spine procedures, and the treatment of complex chronic pain conditions.
Prior to joining The Spine and Pain Institute, Dr. Ezell practiced at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he was involved in physician leadership, quality improvement initiatives, and advancing patient care. He is committed to helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and improve quality of life through individualized treatment plans that focus on meaningful, lasting results.
Dr. Ezell believes successful pain management extends beyond simply treating symptoms. He works closely with patients to develop personalized care plans that address the underlying causes of pain and support long-term health, mobility, and well-being. An Eagle Scout, he values service, leadership, integrity, and lifelong learning—principles that continue to guide his approach to patient care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ezell enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, distance running, traveling, and being outdoors.
